Ingredients
- Batter: Syrup:
- 1/2 C Brown sugar 1 C Brown sugar
- 1 C flour 1 C water
- 1/2 C milk 1 TBsp butter
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 C chopped dates
- 1/2 C chopped nuts pecans/walnuts

Preparation
Step 1
Mix batter adding milk and stirring until smooth, then fold in dates and nuts. Make syrup. Pour in greased baking dish. Pour batter on top. Bake at 350 for 35-40 min. Cool and serve with whipped cream.
