Preparation

Step 1

Whip cream. Arrange 1/2-inch cake slices in a 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Spread with preserves, then top with a layer of custard and a layer of whipped cream. Repeat until all ingredients are used, about 3 layers' worth. Chill.
