Frosting: Fiery Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, at room temperature
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 6 to 7 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 to 1 shot cinnamon schnapps

Preparation

Step 1

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Add the cinnamon, vanilla extract and salt. With the mixer on low, begin adding the powdered sugar, alternating with the schnapps, until the desired consistency is reached and the mixture is smooth.

Frost each cupcake with the fiery cinnamon cream cheese frosting and serve.
