Ingredients

  • rump roast (rolled) can use bottom round
  • 2 tsp. basil
  • 2 tsp. red peppers
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 envelope Lipton's onion soup mix
  • 4 c. water

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients and pour over the roast. Bake roast 4 hours at 325 degrees basting often. Cool and slice then put back in sauce. Put in refrigerator and marinate 24 hours.

to serve: Heat in liquid and serve on Italian rolls/or cocktail buns for smaller sandwiches
