Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage

Ingredients
- 1 head red cabbage, shredded
- 1 apple grated, not peeled
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Add cabbage, apple, vinegar, water, sugar and pepper to a large pot. Cover and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Cook for approximately 30 minutes - mine took a little longer to soften.
Brown butter cooking over medium hear until foamy and golden. Remove from hear and stir into cabbage. Mix in lemon juice.
