Ingredients
- 1 9-inch graham cracker crust or prepared pie crust baked
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 cups whole milk
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Stir together sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt in medium saucepan. Gradually add milk stirring until smooth. Cook over medium heat until comes to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute.
Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla. Pour into crust. Press plastic wrap direction on surface of pie. Cool. Top as desired. Refrigerate 6-8 hours. May use meringue or whipped topping.
