Ingredients

  • Batter:
  • 5-6 lbs.peaches
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 3/4 t nutmeg
  • 1/4 t cloves
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 1 1/4 C milk
  • 2 C flour
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 2 t baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and pit peaches cut into 1: slices, turn into large bowl and set aside.
In small bowl mix spices and sprinkle over peaches then mix. Spoon into 3 qt. baking pan.
Prepare batter and spread evenly over peaches until covered.
Prepare crisp topping:
1 C sugar
2 T cornstarch
Sprinkle topping over batter.
Sprinkle water over topping until it's wet. Bake 350 for 1 hr. Check batter w/tester. When clean remove from oven.
