Macaroni and Cheese

  • 2 cups Macaroni
  • 2 tbsp. Grated Onion
  • 3 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tbsp. Butter
  • White Sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Butter
  • 1-2 tbsp. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 2 cups Milk



Step 1

Cook macaroni, drain and place in a casserole dish.

Make White Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.

Stir onions and cheese into the white sauce and pour over the macaroni, mixing well. Dot with butter. Bake uncovered 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Uncover and cook an additional 15 minutes till light brown and bubbly.
