Simple Garlic Hummus (Tastefully Simple)

  • 1 - 16 oz. can garbanzo beans, drained, reserve 2 T. liquid
  • 2 T. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 T. garlic garlic
  • 1/2 lemon for juice
  • 1/2 t. cumin



Step 1

In a small dish, combine 2 T. of liquid from beans, olive oil, garlic garlic, and cumin. Place beans in a blender or food processer. Squeeze in the juice from 1/2 the lemon, watching for seeds. Add oil/seasoning mixture. Blend on the medium high for 30 seconds. Use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the blender, moving any larger pieces or seasoning toward the middle. Blend again for about 10-15 seconds. Serve with chips or pita chips or vegetables.
