Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 4 Haas Avocados, halves and pitted, save 1 pit
  • 1 medium tomato, cored peeled, seeded, chopped
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice
  • 3/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp jalapeno pepper sauce

Preparation

Step 1

To peel and seed tomato
Score the bottom of a tomato with an X. Drop in boiling water for 30 seconds. Lift out with a slotted spoon. Plunge tomato into ice water and remove peel. Cut tomatoes in half and squeeze to expel seeds.

Scoop avocado into bowl and mash with a fork until not quite smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Place reserved pit in center of bowl.
