Ingredients
- 5 T Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 t Salt
- 4 T White Vinegar
- 3 T Soy Sauce
- 2 T Dry Sherry
- 3 T Ketchup
- 2 T Peanut Oil
- 2 t Garlic (chopped)
- 1 T Corn Starch (dissolved in 3 T water)
- 1 T Sesame Oil
- 1/2 Cup Water
Preparation
Step 1
Combine sugar, salt, vinegar, soy and ketchup in a bowl stir until sugar is dissolved.
In a separate bowl combine cornstarch mixture with sesame oil.
Heat peanut oil with the garlic over medium heat and cook until garlic is brown.
Add sugar mixture to the oil/garlic and bring to boil.
Turn heat down to low and add the cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened, stirring occasionally.
Slowly add water.
