Cabbage, Sausage and Onion Dinner
Yummy on a cold night.
- 3 T butter
- 1 small cabbage, chopped
- 1/2 C onion, chopped
- 3/4 lb. spicy sausage, sliced.
- 1 small can Rotel tomatoes, undrained
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- salt and pepper to taste
In large skillet, pre=cook sausage to draw out fat. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Set aside. Wipe out skillet.
In same skillet, melt butter. Add cabbage and onion. Cook on medium-high for about 5 minutes stirring every so often until cabbage wilts and onion is translucent.
Add remaining ingredients and sausage. Cover skillet and cook another 10 minutes.
Uncover and finish cooking until cabbage is desired tenderness and most of liquid has reduced.
