Trailside Oatmeal Treats

A yummy cookie with everything but the kitchen sink in it! I clearly remember these from my childhood when Ann Spencer used to make them for me and her son Ron when we were hanging out together.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups uncooked oatmeal (quick or old fashioned)
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup raisins
Preparation
Step 1
Beat butter, peanut butter and sugars together until creamy. Blend in eggs, milk and vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture; blend well.
Stir in oats, chocolate chips and raisins.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) about 15 minutes. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
