Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp. grated orange rind
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup orange marmalade
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsps. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter thoroughly. Add sugar, orange rind, and vanilla. Beat until mixture is light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in marmalade. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with combined orange juice and evaporated milk. Stir in chopped nuts and blend. Turn into a well greased 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 - 60 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes; remove. Serve warm or cooled.
