Sausage Mushroom Breakfast Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bulk sausage
  • 2 c sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 6 c cubed bread
  • 2 c (8oz) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 10 eggs lightly beaten
  • 3 c milk
  • 2 t ground mustard
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 t pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet cook sausage and mushrooms over medium heat till meat is not pink, drain. Place half of cubed bread in greased 9zx13 baking dish. Top with 2c sausage mixture and half of the cheese. Repeat layers. In large bowl combine eggs, milk, mustard, salt, and pepper. Pour over bread mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 for 50-55 minutes or till knife comes out clean.
