Ingredients

  • 6 - 8 red bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 ponud ground beef
  • 1 cup rice
  • 3 onions finely chopped
  • 4 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 TBSP sweet Hungarian Red Paprika
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • salt or vegetable seasoning
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat over to 400 degrees.
slice the tops of the peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Add vegetable oil to pan and fry onions until they turn a nice yellow. add chopped tomatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
Combine this with the ground pork and brown. Remove from heat.
Add the uncooked rice seasoning and 1 TBSP of paprika. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir the mixture well to combine then spoon into peppers to fill them. Cover the top with the pepper tops. Place peppers in a roasting dish and sprinkle with oil and seasoning. pour 2 cups of water over the top then cover with foil. Cook about an hour.
