Ingredients
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 cups cream cheese
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 30 Oreos
- 6 tablespoons of butter melted
Preparation
Step 1
1. Butter a 9-inch cake pan.
2. Cream the sugar and cream cheese until smooth and soft.
3. Add the sour cream, scraping down the bowl to ensure a smooth consistency.
4. With the mixer on low speed, add the eggs one at a time being careful not to whip up the eggs.
5. Add cream and vanilla and mix just to incorporate.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and place in the oven in a bain-marie.
7. Bake the cheesecake at 300 degrees F (148 C) for 40 to 60 minutes or until set.
8. Remove from the bain-marie and cool completely.
To make crust:
1. Crush Oreos finely.
2. Melt butter.
3. Mix together crushed Oreos and melted butter.
4. Add more butter if necessary until the mixture holds its shape.
5. Press into bottom of the pan and pour the batter on top.
