Ingredients

  • Pastry:

  • 1

    Cup Flour

  • ½

    tsp. Salt

  • Cup + 1 tbs. Crisco

  • 3

    tbs. Ice Water

  • Filling:

  • 4 or 5

    Big Apples

  • ½

    Cup Sugar

  • 1

    tbs. Cinnamon

  • Topping:

  • ¾

    Cup Flour

  • ½

    Cup Sugar

  • Cup Margarine

Directions

1. Mix Flour and salt together in mixing bowl, cut in shortening with pastry blender till size of big peas. 2. Add ice water one tbs at a time mixing lightly with fork. Mix till dough starts to leave the sides of the bowl and stick to fork. 3. Gently form a ball, flour board and make small depression in center of dough. Flour pin and roll from middle out. Place in pan, but do not stretch dough. Fold edges over and flute edges. 4. Mix together sugar, apples and cinnamon for the filling. 5. Mix together flour and sugar, cut margarine with pastry blender to size of large peas for topping. 6. Place apples in the dough in the pan and than dust with the topping on top of the apples. 7. Bake at 425 for 45 minutes.
