Ingredients
- 3/4 C. chopped onion
- 1/2 C. chopped celery
- 1/2 C. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 C. water
- 1/2 C. uncooked lentils
- 1/2 t. garlic powder
- 1 (16 oz) can one-third-less sodium chicken broth
- 2/3 C. uncooked basmati rice
Preparation
Step 1
Spray saucepan with Pam; place over medium heat until hot. Add onion and next 2 ingds.; saute 3 mins. or until tender. Add water and next 3 ingds, and bring to a boil. Cook 2 mins. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 mins. Add rice; simmer 20 mins. or until the rice is done and lentils are tender. Stir well.
