Ingredients

  • 1 (9-in) unbaked pie
  • 1/4 c. chopped almonds, toasted slivered
  • 1 can pumpkin
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 t. pumpkin pie spice or 1/2 t. allspice
  • 2/3 c light corn syrup
  • 2 lge eggs
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 3 T. butter
  • 1/2 t. almond extract
  • 1 c. slivered almonds

Preparation

Step 1

For crust:

Sprinkle 1/4 c. almond over bottom of crust; press in.

For pumpkin layer:

Combine egg, pumpkin, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice or allspice in med bowl.

Spread over bottom of pie shell

For almond layer:

Combine corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter, and almond extract in medium.

Stir in almonds.

Spoon over pumpkin layer.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 min.
