Ingredients
- CRUST:
- 1 1/2 cups Graham Craker Crumbs
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 lb. melted Butter
- CAKE:
- 9 inch spring form pan
- 2 8oz. pkg Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 Pint Sour cream
- 5 egg yolks
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 tsp. Lemon juice
- 5 Egg whites beaten stiff
- Glaze:
- 2 pkg. frozen sliced strawberries, drain and save juice
- 1 cup juice from strawberries
- 1 Tbs. cold water
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbs. cornstarch
Preparation
Step 1
CRUST:
Mix together, cracker crumbs, Butter and sugar.
Press into the bottom and 1/3 of sides of the pan.
Cake:
Blend sugar, cheese, egg yolks, sour cream, vanilla and lemon juice.
Batter will be lumpy.
Fold in the egg whites.
Pour int the pan.
Bake @ 300F for 1 hour.
Turn off heat and leave in the oven for 1 hour longer, with the door closed.
Open the door and leave for another 1/2 hour longer.
Chill overnight and remove from the pan.
Glaze.
Mix well, the sliced strawberries, juice, water and cornstarch.
Heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
Cool and pour over the cske.
