Puff Pastry - Cheese Straws

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 lg. egg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 4 oz. grated Asiago-Parmesan cheeses

Preparation

Step 1

Roll puff pastry sheets to 12" x 15" rectangles. Brush with 1 lg. egg, beaten. Onto 1 sheet, sprinkle salt and cayenne pepper, then the Asiago-Parmesan cheeses. Lay other sheet on top; roll with pin to 13" x 16" rectangle.

Cut into 13" x 1/2" strips; place in pans, 1 inch apart. Twist each strip several times. Bake 18-20 minutes or until golden. Cool. Makes 32.
