Ingredients
- 1 stick melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 16 oz. can chocolate syrup
- Icing
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk (evaporated or whole milk)
- 6 oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- nuts if desired
Preparation
Step 1
Mix all cake ingedients together and pour into 9" x 13" greased pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. While cooling prepare icing. Do not turn out of pan.
Boil icing ingredients 2 minutes and then add 6 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir until melted. Add 1 cup nuts if desired. Pour over cake in pan while still hot.
