Quick Pasta and Cheese Soup (Heart Healthy)

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 (7 1/4 ounce) package macaroni and cheese mix
  • 1 (10 ounce) package peas and carrots, frozen
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 2 cups milk, 1% or nonfat

Preparation

Step 1

In large saucepan, combine water and dry cheese sauce mix from macaroni and cheese mix. Bring to a boil. Stir in macaroni, peas, and carrots, and seasonings. Return to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 7 to 10 minutes or until macaroni is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in milk; simmer 2 to 3 minutes.
