Original Peanut Blossoms

Make these classic cookies any time of the year! These super simple Original Peanut Blossoms are a great gift.

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 cup flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 2 tablespoon milk
• 1 egg
• 48 Hershey's Kisses
• Sugar to roll cookies in

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Mix all ingredients except the Hershey's Kisses together ,and shape into small balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes. When you remove the cookies from the oven, while they are still hot, press the Kiss firmly onto cookie until it cracks around edges.
