Old Fashioned Green Beans and Bacon

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. green beans
  • 8 slices *Drier's* bacon
  • 3 medium sized potatoes, pared, and cut in 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cook green beans in a small amount of boiling salted water for 10 to 15 minutes or until just tender. Dice bacon and fry in a large skillet until crisp. Add green beans, potatoes, onion, water and salt to the bacon and cook, covered, for about 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
