Meatless Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 cups herb-seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground sage
  • 1 (15 ounce) jar marinara sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 F. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except sauce; mix well. Using about 1/3 cup stuffing for each, shape into 12 balls. Arrange in lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish; spoon sauce over top. Bake uncovered 30 to 35 minutes or until bubbly. Serve hot. Refrigerate leftovers.
