Hot & Spicy Jambalaya

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 lbs. Bobaks Hot and Spicy Sausage ( 1 in. cuts)
  • 1 tsp. Chopped Garlic
  • 1 small Onion, diced
  • 1 lg. Green pepper, diced
  • 1 lg. yellow pepper, diced
  • 2 sticks Celery diced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1-16 oz. can Diced tomatoes
  • 2-4 tbsp. Bayou Blast
  • 2 cups White Rice (instant Rice) rather use basmati
  • BAYOU BLAST
  • 3 tbsp. paprika
  • 2 tbsp. cayenne powder
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. blk pepper
  • 1 tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. oregano, dried
  • 1 tbsp. thyme, dried

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil in a large 4 qt. saucepan over med heat.
Add sausage and cook 3 min, stirring occasionally
Add garlic, onion, pepper and celery: Saute on high heat 2 min.
Add water, can of tomatoes, Bayou Blast, Stir and bring to a boil.
Add rice, stir vigorously, tightly cover and remove from heat.
Let stand covered for 5 min. Serves 6-8.
