Country Morning Coffee Cake

One reviewer used lemon cake mix and raspberry jam in between layers.
Spice cake and apple pie filling would be good too.

Ingredients
- Glaze:
- 1 box Pillsbury + butter recipe cake mix
- 1 cup dairy sour cream
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon,to taste
- 1/4 tsp cloves, to taste
- 2 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 2/3 cup soft butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp milk or more to make glaze consistency
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 325F. Grease and flour a 13x9" baking pan. Reserve 2 tbsp dry cake mix, set aside.
2. In a large bowl, blend remaining cake mix, sour cream, water and eggs at low speed until moistened; beat 2 mins at highest speed.
3. In small bowl, combine nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves and reserved cake mix. Pour 1/2 of the batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle 1/2 the nut mixture evenly over batter. Spread with remaining batter. Sprinkle remaining nut mixture evenly on top.
4. Bake for 40-50 mins or until toothpick tests clean. Cool completely.
5. Meanwhile, make the glaze by combining powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, milk and corn syrup and whip until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cake.
