Ingredients
- 1 box (9oz) Barilla oven ready lasagna noodles, uncooked
- 2 eggs
- 1 container (15oz) ricotta cheese
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 lb bulk Italian sausage or ground beef (cook, crumble and drain)
- 2 cans tomato sauce
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Spray baking pan (about 13x9x3 inches deep) with no stick cooking spray
3. Remove 16 Barilla noodles from box. DO NOT BOIL.
4. In medium bowl, beat eggs. Stir in ricotta, 2 cups of mozzarella and the Parmesan
5. Spread 1 cup sauce on bottom of pan
6. Layer 4 noodles, 1/3 of ricotta mixture, half of browned meat, 1 cup of mozzarella and 1 cup of sauce
7. Layer 4 noodles, 1/3 of ricotta mixture and 1 1/2 cups sauce
8. Layer 4 noodles, the remaining ricotta mixture and browned meat and 1 cup sauce
9. Layer 4 noodles, the remaining sauce and remaining 1 cup mozzarella
10. Bake, covered with foil until bubbly, 50-60 minutes. Uncover and continue cooking until cheese is melted about 5 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before serving
