Black Bean Hummus

  • 1 15.5 ounce can garbanzo beans
  • 1 15.5 ounce can black beans
  • 2/3 cup blended oil (olive and canola)
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 2 small garlic cloves, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • juice of 1 1/2 limes or to taste
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika pepper
  • pinch of ground cinnamon
  • pinch of ground cumin



Step 1

Mix all the ingredients for the hummus in a bowl. Puree the hummus mixture, in batches if needed, in a food processor until very smooth. Taste and season with salt. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl.

Serve with pita chips
