Polenta Frie

Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup polenta
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 caup Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Bring milk to a boil. Add polenta and reduce heat. Stir until polenta ceases to fall

Cook for 40 minutes over low heat stirring occasionally.

Add herbs, butter, and Parmesan cheese. Cook another 5 minutes.

Remove from heat, spread onto sheet tray and cool.

Cut into strips to resemble french fries and toss in flour to coat. Submerge in hot oil and fry until crisp.
