Ingredients

  • 1 # of green tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 serrano chile, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups water

1. Place tomatoes, onion, garlic and chili in a saucepan. Season with cilantro, oregano, cumin and salt. Add water and cook over high heat until boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 10-15 minutes until the tomatoes are cooked.
2. Blend all ingredients until smooth sauce.
