Ingredients

  • Frosting:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup. chopped red candied cherries
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped "Holiday" Plain M&M's
  • 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 5 tsp. warm water

Preparation

Step 1

Beat together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and extract. Add combined flour and salt. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup cherries. Spread in ungreased cake pan (19 x 13") Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup cherries and candies; press lightly.
Bake @ 300 for 30-35 minutes. Cool
Combine confectioners sugar and water; mixing until smooth. Drizzle over bars.
