Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 8 oz. pkg. lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 lb. Ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 12 oz. shredded mozzarella slices
  • 1/2 c parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Brown meat; drain. Add onion and cook until tender. Stir in tomato paste, water, garlic and seasonings. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. In a 12 x 8 inch baking dish, layer half of noodles, meat sauce, cottage cheese, and mozzarella cheese, repeat layers. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
