Carmel Pecan Pie

This recipe is for the real Pecan lover. It has more pecans and less gooey filling than the traditional pecan pie.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 T melted butter
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • Beat eggs until frothy. Add corn syrup, brown sugar, butter, salt and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Stir in pecans. Pour into 10 inch unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400 for 15min, then reduce heat to 350 and bake an additional 30-35 min. Cool before serving.
