Red Velvet Poke Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box 1 box Red Velvet cake Mix
  • Ingredients to make cake (eggs, oil and water).
  • 2 (3.4oz) boxes 2 (3.4oz) boxes instant cheesecake-flavored pudding
  • 4 cups 4 cups milk
  • 1 (8oz.) tub 1 (8oz.) tub frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 10 10 Oreo cookies, crushed (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

-Prepare and bake cake according to package directions for 9x13 pan.
-Cool only a couple of minutes after removing from oven.
-Poke lots of holes in warm cake with handle of wooden spoon.
(go all the way to bottom of cake with holes)

-In med. bowl whisk pudding and milk until all lumps are gone.
-Pour pudding over and into holes of cake.
(gently spread over cake, pushing into holes)
-Cover and place cake in fridge to set, about 2 hrs
-Once completely cooled spread thawed whipped topping over cake.
-Sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies over topping.
(doing this right before serving will ensure cookies are crunchy)

Cake needs to be kept refrigerated.
