Ingredients

  • 1 lb. penne or ziti
  • 1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
  • 3/4 c. good quality vodka
  • 1/2 tsp. dried hot pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. thick tomato sauce
  • salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in casserole dish. Add vodka, pepper flakes, and worcestershire sauce; mix well. Simmer over low to medium heat for 5 minutes. Blend in tomato sauce and heavy cream and bring to boil. Simmer approximately 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Add cooked pasta and toss in parmesan cheese.
