Easy Cherry and Peach Clafoutis

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14.5 oz) pitted tart red cherries in water, well drained
  • 1 can (15.25 oz) sliced peaches in syrup, drained
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 2/3 cup Original Bisquick® mix
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 10-inch round shallow baking dish with cooking spray. Evenly distribute cherries, peaches and almonds in baking dish.
2 In medium bowl, beat Bisquick mix, granulated sugar, milk, vanilla and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed 2 minutes. Pour over fruit mixture.
3 Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
A country French dish, the clafoutis or clafouti, is made by topping a layer of fruit in the bottom of a dish with batter. It can be served for brunch or dessert.

Use fresh seasonal fruits such as raspberries, rhubarb, cherries, peaches or other fruits in place of the canned fruits
