Ingredients
- Cake Layer
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup flour
- 4 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 16-oz. can of chocolate syrup
- Icing Layer
- 2 cups confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, room temp
- 2-4 tablespoons Creme de Menthe Liquor
- Glaze
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 6 tablespoons butter
Preparation
Step 1
Cake Layer
Preheat oven to 350°
Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
Combine butter and sugar then add eggs, flour, vanilla and chocolate. Spread in pan and bake for 30 minutes.
Icing Layer
Beat butter and add sugar and liquor alternately until light and fluffy. Spread on cooled cake.
Glaze
Melt together and cool slightly. Spread over butter cream layer. Chill.
