Orange Bundt Poppyseed Cake with Orange Glaze

Ingredients

  • Orange Glaze:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix without pudding
  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup poppy seeds
  • Grated rind from 2 oranges
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 7 ingredients in large mixer bowl, mix at low speed for 1 minute; beat at medium speed for 5 minutes. Pour batter into a well greased and lightly floured 10" Bundt pan. Bake in a preheated 350 F oven until cake tests done with wooden pick (40 to 45 minutes). Let cool in pan 10 minutes; invert onto rack. Punch holes in cake with tines of fork. Pour Orange Glaze over top of cake. Cool before slicing.

Orange Glaze: Combine 1/2 cup orange juice and 1/2 cup sugar in small saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes.
