French Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. 2% milk
  • Cook until bubbles form around edge of pan. Cool until room temperature before adding below ingredients.

Preparation

Step 1

Then add:
1 1/2 c. half and half
2 T. vanilla
Add whole milk to fill line of 5 qt. freezer. Freeze as usual.
