Transpacific Flank Steak

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic,crushed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 green onion,chopped
  • 1 flank steak (1 1/2 to 2 ponds)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients except steak;pour over steak in large plastic bag in shallow pan;tie securely.Let stand in refrigerator at least 5 hours,turning several times.Grill about 2 inches above white coals or in broiler 4 to 5 minutes on each side.Slice thin diagonally across grain.
