CHILI POWDER by BEAR
- 5-6 parts chili flakes or dried red chilies
- 3 parts dried oregano
- 1 part cumin seeds
- 1 part coriander seeds
Toast cumin and coriander over medium heat in flat skillet till you can smell it. Don't need to brown them. Cool a bit.
Blend It all together and taste.
I don't usually add salt but you can
I get the chili and oregano from Costco in the big containers but have also used our own dried red chilies from the garden and this year added some
of the Pakistani ones. So, ad lib.
Toasting is what helps the most. Hotness varies by peppers.
