Lexis Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 4 sticks unsalted butter, softened
• 3 cups packed brown sugar
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 4 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 1/2 semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter in large bowl until smooth; add brown sugar and granulated sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well blended. In another bowl, sift flour, salt, and baking soda. Beat into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop 2-3 tablespoons of batter onto non-stick baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake for 8 minutes until golden brown. Remove and cool on rack.
