Ingredients

  • FRUIT MIXTURE
  • 1 (160z) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 (16 oz) can pitted tart red cherries, drained
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 TSP cornstarch
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds

Preparation

Step 1

In an ungreased 8 inch square baking dish, combine cranberry sauce, cherries and extract. Mix well.

In small bowl combine sugar and cornstarch and mix. Stir into fruit.

Mix flour, oats, brown sugar and nutmeg. Using a pastry blender, cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in the nuts.. Spoon topping over fruit.

Bake 350 for 30 to 35 minutes until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with whipped cream
