Ingredients
- 3 C flour
- 2-1/2 C sugar
- 1/3 C unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 t baking powder
- 1 t salt
- 2 C cold water
- 3/4 C apple sauce
- 2 eggs
- 2 T apple cider vinegar
- 2 T vanilla
- 1 pkg instant chocolate pudding
- 2 C skim milk
- 1 can ( 20 oz) light cherry pie filling
- cool whip
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 *. Spray 9 x 13 pan. In medium bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa & salt, set aside. In large bowl combine water, applesauce, eggs, vinegar & vanilla. Add flour mixture to applesauce mixture. Mix on low until well blended. Pour batter into pan& bake 45 mins. Cool completely. Prepare pudding mix with milk as per pkg instructions & spread on top of cooled cake. Refrigerate until set. Spread pie filling over pudding & chill until ready to serve. Serve with cool whip.
