Ingredients

  • Meringue:
  • 8 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/2 C key lime juice
  • 1 egg white, beat until stiff
  • 3 Egg whites
  • 6 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Preparation

Step 1

Beat first 3 ingredients until frothy, then fold in 1 beaten egg white, pour mixture into 9" baked pie crust (Pillsbury).

Beat meringue mixture until peaks form.

Bake 10-20 minutes until meringue browns.

Cool on rack 1 hour, then chill in refrigerator to set completely.
