Spiced Pear Pie
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbs lemon juice
- 6 cups peeled, thinly sliced pears
- 1 pkg refrigerated pie crust - 2 crust in 1 package
- 1 tbs butter
Preheat oven to 400.
In a large bowl mix sugar, flour, ginger, cinnamon.
Stir lemon juice in pears and toss gently.; let stand for 15 minutes.
Line a 9 inch pie pan with 1 crust.
Fill with fruit mix; dot with butter.
Cover with the second pie crust.
Seal and decorate the edges however you want.
Cut several slits to permit steam to escape.
Place pie pan on baking sheet - to catch spillover.
Bake 45-50 minutes or until bubbly and crust is golden brown; cool.
