Sour Cream Cookies
- For topping:
- 1 cup margaring, softened
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla OR 2 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 3 cups flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix dry ingredients and set aside.
At medium speed, cream margarine, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Then low speed - add sour cream and vanilla. Mix well.
Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt - alternate until combined.
Refrigerate 1 hour or overnight.
Drop on sheet by teaspoon. Sprinkle cookies with mixture.
Bake 350 degrees until edges brown (10-12 minutes).
